Hello SUMMER!~, Summer dress I altered.







I altered a dress last month in December 2021.
I thought I had a picture of the dress before I altered, it turned I forgot taking it.
Oh well,

The dress I bought when I went to trip to Singapore, but I never worn since.
I used to like it but I don't like the design any more and I decide to make it more comfortable dress which I prefer lately.

The original dress was a singlet maxi dress.
Front bodice was deep V-neck style and thin staps on shoulders.
Back bodice was two wide straps to be tied in the middle of back with hiding Bra back straps and hooks, which made back waist open.

How I altered was,
cutting off thin shoulder straps from front and back bodices.
seperating front & back bodices from long skirt.
and then,
stitching thin sholder straps to skirt.
cutting/sewing some skirt both sides off under arm pits.

The below 2 pictures were me trying the dress without balt on.

I have made an harness jacket for my cat. I let him play without any lease or harness on back garden, but if we need to play at front garden, or go to camping, some harnesses and leash set needed.  Harness jacket vest area finished with hook and loop tape which is adjustable to cat's vest size, so it will fit on him even though he put on weights. I thought to use hook and loop tape for neck of harness jacket but it might make neck strap too thick and uncomfortable for cat to move his head. So I ended up using slide plastic buckle. I made collars for cat and gave them as present to my friends who have cats. Refashion two gingham mini dresses to a midi dress & shirt

My friend and I have both have the same dress,  after we worn the dress enough, We wanted to refashion them and feel new clothes again. Step by Step Using seam ripper, cut seam between shirt and 1st tier skirt of one of dress. Trim the bottom end of shirt to make neater and then hem. Hemming: fold 0.25" and fold 0.25" the bottom end of shirt, and sew. Because the shirt is not long enough, hemming as little as possilbe would be good.                        Easy done for shirt 👕 Cut inner fabric attached to two tiered skirt, and trim the top end of skirt.
