Lovely Ivory colour cotton fabric spring dress

Image
Another dress for my slow wardrobe and slow fashion. I made a cotton fabric dress for myself. The dress is nice for warm spring days.  The dress was too boxy for me and I looked fat in it  before I put ties on side waist. Tie a bit and not too tight would give a nice fit on waist.  What a lovely day to go out in it. Happy day in lovely dress!

Sewing DIY Slip Dress with pattern

Image
I made a cute cotton slip dress for this summer. The dress is midium size, whoever wears small size also can wear it. I can't wait to wear it this summer. I gave a bit of volumn in pocket by gathering fabric. and decorated orange colour daisy with narrow zigzag stitch on pocket. I think the bright daisy made too cute for me to wear  and get all the attentionwhen you look at the dress,  so I ended up take it off from the pocket :( Oh so cute with smily frog tugging toy in the pocket. You can make ribbon as you want. Oooopsi, it was so close to fall down.  The dress without orange daisies on pockets. Pattern :   you can download from the my Youtube video's description. Sewing DIY Patchwork & Fleece Vest (free pattern) - use up your fabric scraps

Image
After cutting fabrics, there are always fabric scraps, which accumulated for several months, and eventually there is the container full of fabric scraps, it's time to use up and empty the container for next several months, and also there's no space for another fabric scraps containers, it's best use some up. So, let's call the use up fabric scraps project. I cut to square (2 x 2 inches) all warm colours fabric scarps mainly pinkish and redish fabric scarps because pink and white coloured fleece is used for vest.  connect those squares to bigger than patterns of vest back and two pockets. Heart shaped pockets made a feature of front vest, and cute! Be noted: snap buttons - I needed a bit bigger buttons because of a thick fabric, and I did not bother to go and buy them, and end up using what I have at home.  I have to be carefull whenever opening snap buttons, otherwise snap button might fall out. Luckly I often wear vest front open without buttons up is work for me okay....
